David Carradine’s Death: Still Under Investigation
It was a shock to the entertainment industry when David Carradine was found dead in his Bangkok, Thailand hotel room earlier this week.  And his manager is vehemently denying that the suicide rumors are untrue. Chuck Binder told press, “I can tell you 100 percent that he would have never committed suicide.  Co-manager Tiffany Smith added, “He was too full of life.” Carradine’s body was discovered by a maid who said the body was naked and sitting with a yellow rope wrapped around the neck which was attached to a closet bar.  A police spokesman said, “We believe that Mr. David committed suicide but it is suspicious.” Smith added, “We are not saying it’s an accidental death because we don’t know.  Right now we are just letting everyone know that it’s under investigation and we’ll see ... I just know he didn’t do this to himself.” Caradine’s niece Martha Plimpton expressed her family’s grief, saying, “My Uncle David was a brilliantly talented, fiercely intelligent and generous man.  He was the nexus of our family in so many ways, and drew us together over the years and kept us connected. I adored him as a child, and as an adult I admired and respected him. We will all miss him terribly.”

Using her celebrity to bring attention to a horrible crisis, Angelina Jolie has penned an article for Time magazine urging people to end the violence in Darfur. Speaking of International Criminal Court’s Darfur investigation, the “Wanted” actress wrote, “The evidence the prosecutor has presented is clear and compelling… millions of people have been displaced and hundreds of thousands have been killed.” She continued, “Darfur has almost disappeared from the news, and experts now call it a ‘low intensity’ conflict.  But the intensity of the crisis has not lessened for those who are struggling to survive.” “More than 250,000 people from Darfur have lived destitute lives in refugee camps in Chad for six years now.  Camps with more than two million internally displaced persons inside Darfur are even worse. Thirty percent of those displaced are school-age children. Girls leaving the camps are raped; boys leaving the camps are killed. They want an education; they want to go back to their villages, to their land; they want peace. But they also want justice.”

Fall Out Boy rocker Pete Wentz is trying his hand at the world of comic books, MTV News reported on Thursday.

The bassist reportedly conceived the mini-series “Fall Out Toyworks” with Los Angeles designer Darren Romanelli and will launch it in September via publisher Image Comics.
