In the ongoing saga of Tiger Woods’ escapades, it is now being reported that the Florida Highway Patrol wanted to get a blood test because a witness said Tiger had been drinking earlier in the day. According to documents obtained by TMZ, a witness (rumored to be wife, Elin) “stated that the driver had consumed alcohol earlier in the day and the same witness removed the driver from the vehicle after the collision.” The document continues, “The same witness stated that the driver was prescribed medication (Ambien and Vicodin).” The document concludes, “Impairment of the driver is also suspected due to the careless driving that resulted in the traffic crash.” The Highway Patrol’s request for the blood sample was denied, on grounds of insufficient evidence to issue a subpoena. It has been determined alcohol was not a factor.

In an effort to save some face, Tiger Woods has reportedly paid Rachel Uchitel a million-dollar sum to keep the details of their affair under wraps. The golf champ has forked out anywhere between $1 and $3 million to his mistress since finding out that she never leaked the story of their romance. According to a source, Woods felt that Uchitel could have posed the biggest problem for him, hence he wanted to ensure her silence.  Rachel possessed some pretty incriminating text messages and emails, and Tiger didn’t want any of them to become public. Treating herself to a fun-filled evening out, Sienna Miller was spotted hitting up the Box nightclub in New York City last night (December 6). The “Factory Girl” actress looked lovely as she made her exit with a gal pal, sporting a furry white coat with a green skirt, black stockings, and black heels. Also in the house partying with Miss Miller was none other than ex-boyfriend and rumored rekindled flame Jude Law. Treating herself to an evening at the theater, Eva Longoria was spotted at the Broadway opening of “Race” last night (December 6) in New York City. The “Desperate Housewives” hottie looked lovely as she arrived at the Ethel Barrymore Theatre, sporting a black wool topcoat and a grey scarf to keep warm. The day before, Eva joined up with Kirsten Dunst for the annual Telethon for Rehabilitation Centers for Children in Mexico City, Mexico. I don’t know if you know how to that when you’re in your 20s.” Agreeing with his wife, Sarah’s actor hubby Freddie Prinze Jr added, “I’m so happy we didn’t have kids in our 20s – I just didn’t know a thing. You have so much more patience in your 30s, and I feel like I appreciate this so much more.”

Stepping out for an evening of cinema, Madonna attended a special screening of “A Single Man” hosted by The Cinema Society and Bing in New York City on Sunday (December 6). Held at The Museum of Modern Art, the Material Girl was decked out in her finest garb, mingling with a guest list including Nicholas Hoult, Julianne Moore and Tom Ford. As for “A Single Man,” the Tom Ford directed drama stars both Miss Moore and Colin Firth, along with Matthew Goode, Ginnifer Goodwin and Keri Lynn Pratt. The highly acclaimed film is described as “a story that centers on an English professor who, after the sudden death of his partner tries to go about his typical day in Los Angeles.”

Diane Sawyer Says This Is Her Last Week On ‘GMA’
 Diane Sawyer says this week is her last as co-anchor of ABC’s “Good Morning America” as she prepares to replace Charles Gibson on the network’s “World News.”

Gibson is retiring. His last broadcast as anchor on “World News” will be Dec. 18. Sawyer starts Dec. 21.

Anna Paquin: Back in LA
Trading in the wintery chill of New York for a milder SoCal, Anna Paquin was spotted out and about in Los Angeles yesterday afternoon (December 6). The “X-Men” babe stopped into her local Whole Foods supermarket to stock up on some healthy groceries now that she’s back home. Anna has spent the past month or so out in Long Island, New York where she was filming “The Romantics” along with Katie Holmes, Josh Duhamel, Malin Akerman, and Adam Brody. “The Romantics” is about a group of college friends who come back together for a wedding and all the drama that ensues. In related news, Anna will be getting a fellow New Zealander as a costar on her hit vampire gig “True Blood,” as Grant Bowler has been recruited for the new season.

Ashlee Simpson: Chicago Chick
Finishing up another evening on the “Chicago” stage, Ashlee Simpson was spotted departing the Ambassador Theater in New York City’s Broadway Theater district last night (December 6). The “Pieces of Me” songstress looked lovely as she strolled past the paparazzi, sporting an all-black ensemble as she made her way home. And though things haven’t been the greatest for the Simpson family in 2009, it seems Ashlee and her sister Jessica are finishing out the year strong. After being dumped by Tony Romo had having her country music debut flop, Jessica is coming back with a new VH1 series “The Price of Beauty.” And Ashlee bounced back with her Broadway gig after being ditched by her “Melrose Place” gig.  Not too shabby!

Christina Aguilera: Family Christmas Tree Fun
Getting into the holiday spirit, Christina Aguilera and husband Jordan Bratman took their son Max out Christmas tree shopping in Los Angeles, California on Sunday (December 6). All bundled up for the chilly weather, the happy family mingled with staff workers and greeted a few roaming pooches as they hand picked their season’s tree after wandering the grounds. Meanwhile, Christina has been getting back into work mode - as she’s reportedly working on a new album due out next year. Of the effort, producer/songwriter Tricky Stewart told Vibe, “With Christina it’s a little different, because Christina wants music that you haven’t heard before. She did things that she’s never necessarily heard on the radio. She doesn’t want a record that sounds like anything else so you’re trying to create an entirely new sound for an artist.” Tricky added, “The three tracks that I did, they’re all uptempo tracks so we definitely kind of get the club moving but it’s just a matter of her doing different styles and using her voice in different ways.”
