Corey Haim was laid to rest in his native Toronto on Tuesday – six days after the actor’s death at age 38.

Corey’s mother, Judy Haim, previously confirmed to Access Hollywood’s Maria Menounos that the funeral for her son would take place in his Canadian hometown.

Following his sudden and tragic death last week, Corey Haim was laid to rest in his hometown of Toronto, Canada today (March 16). The “License to Drive” actor’s family gathered at the Steeles Memorial Chapel for a small service before proceeding to Pardes Shalom Cemetery for the burial.And though Corey’s mother Judy Haim claimed the City of Toronto would be paying for the funeral, a rep for the city says it’s not so. "The City of Toronto confirms no involvement in funeral costs for Mr. Haim. The City of Toronto has never received an application for assistance with the funeral costs for Mr. Haim."

As actor Corey Haim was laid to rest in his native Toronto on Tuesday, the emotional 911 call made by his mother the morning of the actor’s death was also released.

In the heartbreaking 10-minute call, his mother Judy Haim is heard telling the 911 operator that her son is “not moving” as she pleads for help.

Haim was reportedly caring for his ailing mother Judy who was fighting a battle with cancer. And Heaslip says she’s taking it the hardest. “She’s not doing well at all. This is really hitting her. There will not be a public memorial for late actor Corey Haim, according to what appears to longtime friend Corey Feldman’s blog.

“Now I must be the bearer of some very disappointing news to many of you out there,” he wrote. “After weeks of consideration and planning, the ultimate decision has been made by Corey’s mother Judy Haim to not go forward with a public memorial service. Instead we will have a very small private dinner with just a few close friends in LA.”

He had a well-known struggle with prescription drug addiction, and Corey Haim was having a rough time in the days leading up to his accidental overdose earlier this week. Director Jensen LeFlore, who worked with Haim on “Decisions,” told press that Corey sounded upset during a recent phone conversation. “That was the only time I really heard him down. His mom was all Corey had ... He was focused on taking care of his mom. They were living together. He wanted to take care of her.” Pal Angela Cullins added, “They spent a lot of time together. She was battling breast cancer. It was very stressful for him ... It was exhausting, but he took care of her when she needed him.”

Corey Haim: Prescription Drug Overdose
As the story surrounding Corey Haim’s tragic death develops, police have reported finding four prescription bottles in his apartment. According to a report, the former teen idol is thought to have succumbed to a prescription drug overdose, though there aren’t any specifics at this time. A source told press that Haim stumbled out of bed around 1am this morning and dropped to the floor in front of his mom.  She called an ambulance and Corey was rushed to the hospital. Once he reached the hospital, Haim was pronounced dead at 2:15am.  In addition to the prescription drugs, Corey was said to have been sick with flu symptoms this week.
