Gordon Grody, former vocal coach said the two fell in love after the 38 year old was the bass player in her first band. “He was her first big love of her life and it was a very passionate, romantic relationship. [They were] living the rock ‘n’ roll dream without parental supervision or restrictions.” The relationship didn’t last long and split. “I don’t think she ever really got over it, but I certainly don’t think she would have intentionally tried to kill herself over it.”
